I am using my iPad device for games when I want to relax and that’s why I collected the best 10 games and put them in a list for you. What criteria have I used to make this list? – Fun, Unique, Value, Competitive. Let’s start:
1. Angry Birds
Angry Birds is the most addictive and fun game I’ve ever played. The people from Rovio did really great job developing this game and offer us plenty of versions. These birds that have special powers will bring novelty in your gaming experience and some brand new ideas. You will feel more competitive wherever you go.
2. FIFA 2013
This FIFA franchise didn’t disappoint from its start on iOS, and each game is coming better and better. There are new online challenges all the time. The 2013 version didn’t give us any bigger improvements but we are satisfied with the added onscreen button for skill moves.
3. Need For Speed: Most Wanted
If you are into fast cars and adrenaline, this game is the right for you. EA
Avid gamers are looking forward to the Sony PlayStation 4 which is set to be launched in November 2013. While the company already has a huge number of pre-orders to deal with, people are still looking for attractive PS4 deals so that they can buy the much awaited console at the best possible price, considering that they might have to pay a premium when compared to pre-order prices.
If you plan to buy the PS4 basic pack then you get the PlayStation 4 console, three cables (HDMI, USB charging and power), headset and the much in demand DualShock 4 wireless controller. All of this is available at around $399. Needless to say, while most retailers sell the basic game console pack at the fixed price, some of them offer them at a discount. Another factor that varies is the cost of shipping which amounts to around $10, although this changes according to the retailer. Some bundles also come with an additional DualShock 4 controller. There is talk that the price might drop just before the launch. However, certain retailers have committed to refund the difference to people who
A video game is a computer program played electronically through the use of computer desktops, gaming consoles, tablets, and even mobile phones. Most gamers play to distract themselves from a long period of waiting. Others play for cash and honour, by joining local tournaments and global e-games competitions. To sum it all up, like any other games video games are intended to entertain people.
There are several benefits in playing video games. It improves a person’s reaction time, rational thinking, logical thinking, creativity, and so much more. E-gaming is also a way to exercise your brain. Studies support that gamers do improve one’s problem solving skills, which can be an advantage in the real world. Motivation also plays a huge part in gaming technology. Everyone wants to be good at something, and playing is their way of rousing their motivational needs. Video games give immediate response on how well you are doing. Medals, scores, points, game achievements and trophies serves as a quick feedback which can make a person feel optimistic about oneself. Another positive thing about gaming is that it
Anyone can play mobile games; it’s not an issue of age, gender, or geography (however, kids surely dominate in this area). Mobile games can be played anywhere, on tablets and smartphones; and the former are especially great for such pastime. Games top other mobile app categories in the stores, and receive new opportunities with every fresh platform version and sophisticated hardware. Sales of mobile devices go up, and the game industry is blooming, profitable and changing. Trends of mobile gaming come and go; and some hold position, because they simply work. And which mobile gaming trends and rules do we currently have at disposal?
Popular games can appear out of the blue. A catchy game with all the necessary ingredients can always become an instant hit; surely, with well-planned and well-implemented promotion behind its back. It can be simple, which is perfect for brief time-wasting. It can be innovative, which is perfect for experienced gamers; because nobody needs simple clones of popular games. But an idea can be taken to shape it into something unique; and it’s often better not to overcomplicate things – find a balance instead.

3D games are now gaining prominence as more developers turn to the technology. The first 3 dimension technology was introduced in 1987 and today the technology has improved and is no longer confined to computer games. The technology has improved since then, while the cost has decreased tremendously. Today, computers have become less expensive and more powerful. As a result they are supported well to handle 3D. 3D technology has brought such a revolution in our lives. 3D gaming is no doubt the next big thing. If you look around you will discover its popularity. The benefits of 3D technology in gaming are:
Depth of vision
One of the benefits of 3D gaming is the depth of field. It provides an extended vision for games, offering an easy and clear focus. This is particularly good when you have a 2D platform game or a title with a distinct, strong graphical style. The 3D nature is an image our eyes are more used to. Considering we are 3 dimensional beings, we stand a better chance of determining the difference between the foreground and background. Therefore, it makes understanding what we are looking at much easier. The graphics

Mobile games are predominantly flooded by less ambitious productions. However, there are some which are worth investing our time. This article covers some of them.
This game is an adaptation of a fantastic board game from Games Workshop. Action takes place in a dark land called the Old World. The player controls a team of 4 heroes and will fight hordes of monsters in expanded dungeons. As they pass by, they collect gold, powerful items and, of course, experience, that allows them to train more skills and spells. The game is a turn-based strategy with fog and ambush mechanism, that forces player to be in a constant move. Otherwise he will be found by many monster forces.
This is one of the biggest blockbusters this year, with nearly 1 million copies sold. This is the signal for the developers that a game does not have to be in a free-to-play distribution system to achieve a big success. The main character is a young princess, who explores the lands of crow clan. What drives us to play for hours is the gameplay mechanism. Our main task is to find the exit. This is
Compared to the sleek, light and minimal look of peripherals for office use, gaming mice and keyboards seem like techy contraptions from sci-fi films and casual computer users might not understand why these should replace regular peripherals. However, gamers, who are usually power users, always keep an eye out for the latest products created especially for them. Having a gaming mouse and keyboard is essential for anyone who wants to make the most out of computer games. Because if there’s anything worse than lag, that’s being undermined by your own equipment. Playing Angry Birds and casual indie games in your browser does not require any effort, nor does it put a strain on your wrist, but living and breathing games such as Call of Duty, Mass Effect, Starcraft or Counter Strike can be a challenge, especially if you play them for hours in a row. In these cases, it becomes obvious that the average peripherals do not give you enough control over the game and even slow you down.
A high-tech set containing a gaming keyboard and mouse can make the difference between someone who plays games for fun and someone who understands and respects them. In
The gaming mouse is one of the most important accessories any gamer should buy. Those who do not play computer games may not understand the differences between a regular mouse and a gaming one, but reality is that it could improve the entire gaming experience much better. Although there are many types of mice available on the market, so all gamers can find something that best suits their needs, there are a few features that they should look for whenever they want to purchase a new one. For starters, the first thing they should look for in a gaming mouse is sensitivity. The more sensitive a mouse is, the less you have to move it to move the cursor in the screen. This feature can make the difference between a successful gaming experience and a frustrating one. When you are in a battle and everything depends on doing a certain action fast, being able to rely on your mouse is very important.
The next option you should look for is programmable buttons. While most games have certain commands that can be made from the gaming keyboard, it is still a major advantage to be able to do
Whenever I find my kids getting bored with their existing games or when they play with other kids I encourage them to play a word game with me. In today’s world there is no limit to digital games but when it comes to manual games there is certainly a shortage. Manual or indoor games are limited and digital games have swept away the pleasure and excitement which a child was used to derive from playing such games. I wonder even my toddler loves the digital things more than the toys. Well, we need to assure ourselves that our kids play regularly some non digital games also.
Here is a game which I devised and whenever it’s played it proved to be interesting. First I ask a kid what is your name number and then I explain to him how he can have his name number. For example if a child’s name is ‘Ali’ then his numeric number is 1129.
Here is the logic, first we assigned a number to all 26 English alphabets as follows:
A – 1
B – 2
C – 3
D – 4
E – 5
F – 6
With the launch of Sony’s PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One, there’s a lot of focus on the next generation of games, but that shouldn’t really overshadow the fact that many of the year’s best titles were indeed made for current generation systems.
Whether you’re buying for the person on gaming’s bloodshed edge or who’s happy with the game system they already have, you have plenty of good options to choose from:

Systems: Xbox 360, PS3, PC
It’s actually hard to recall these days, but when “Tomb Raider” was first released, it was the game play that stood out, not Lara Croft’s measurements. This little reboot takes things to the beginning, and the results? Simply Incredible! Instead of an Aristocratic Lara, you find yourself face to face with a younger Lara Croft, who’s shipwrecked on an island. You get to see the character grow as she tries to survive. It’s a game that makes Lara and all of the Lara Croft Series more relevant for today’s audience. It’s well-acted, well-paced and is pleasantly surprising.

Earning a degree in game programming and development should be considered by individuals who have a passion for gaming, and learning how games are created. Courses involved in these type of degrees usually include gameplay design, 3D graphics, stereoscopic computer graphics, contemporary video game platforms, multiplayer game design, and game physics. Having a computer that can handle the necessary components involved in video game design and development would also be very helpful. The following list includes some of the top schools where students can earn this degree, and other related degrees to help them enter the video game creation field.
University of Southern California
Los Angeles, California
• Rated by the Princeton Review multiple years in a row as having the #1 game design program in North America.
• Students can study programs in Interactive Entertainment, Animation & Digital Arts, Cinematic Arts, Film & Television Production, Interactive Media, and Science Visualization.
• USC is not predominantly a design school; they also offer many other degrees you would find at most traditional colleges.
Carnegie Mellon University
• Carnegie Mellon is a world leader in robotics
• Students can earn a Bachelor of Computer Science and
Video game music can be the best part of a game. It’s one of the prime components to the aesthetics of a game and can really contribute to the soul’s entirety. A game’s music is the foundation for the tone, having as much (if not more) of an impact on the atmosphere than the visuals. This being said, the music can indicate what kind of game you’ll think it’s going to be.
If the music is happy or campy, then you might get the sense that the game is supposed to be light-hearted and joyful, just there for you to have a good time. If the music is slow, solemn, or dark, you might catch the vibe that you’re getting into something serious, with an oppressive atmosphere. If the music to a game doesn’t fit, it can all just make the game feel off. It might not take away from the game, but there is always the possibility.
Chip-tune is easy to replicate via humming, and if a piece is catchy it’s also easy to replicate by humming. If you can hum it enough, it tends to become memorable.
Some ind games don’t require music, requiring only
For many people, costumes are a way to express their personality or their love of something. For this reason you might see many football fans wearing jerseys of their favorite team or favorite player. More serious fans would not be satisfied with just jerseys but would want to dress entirely like their favorite players would. This trend has now become quite popular and is no longer limited to just sports. You can even find people wearing the costumes of their favorite movie or video game characters.
Playing video games has become a national past-time. A survey has revealed that more than 60% American households play video games. A whopping 9 billion dollars is spent on video games yearly in the USA! So it is not surprising that video game related costumes can now be seen everywhere in the market. As people spend hours playing their favorite games they would naturally be inclined to buy the dresses that are worn by their favorite characters.
When people want to buy a game costume they generally go for their favorite character from their favorite game. The problem with this is a lot of other people would also have the
In this day and age, many parents are plagued by their children’s video game addiction. It just seems like there is no way to get their child to get off the computer or console anymore. Parents must take a more pro-active role that should also be pre-emptive. It is important not to make video games the villain, as they are fun and useful ways to pass time that have actually shown to improve a child’s problem solving abilities. The key point must be moderation and not abstinence. It is also of prime importance that there are alternate sources of entertainment so that the children do not lose out on valuable play time.
Here are a few important reasons why traditional games are useful to tackle video game addiction.
1. Traditional games are good exercise
These games generally involve running or jumping or some kind of physical activity, since traditional games were made before the age of sedentary entertainment. Exercise benefits your child in a lot of ways, and keeps him/her active and healthy. It also improves athletic ability and stamina. Exercise has also long been associated with the development of cognitive function, meaning your child
I have wanted to talk about this for some time now, but could not find the words to get my point across. I have seen articles and news stories over the years about how school shootings and violent children are due to violent video games. No actual evidence or research to back it up, but I cannot get angry over this. They say that they are just a child’s play thing, dismiss it, and say that there is nothing positive that comes out of playing games. Every generation people find something to blame for all the bad behavior of children. People would blame books, art, movies, music, and right now video games are in the hot seat. All forms of media and art go through this before being known for the value that they give to society. Games let you experience the creativity that can be drawn in from all forms of art. You are the one who pushes the story that could have been read from a page, you make the decisions that actor is directed to make, you experience the scenery that could be viewed from a painting, and you are the one who experiences the
Video games can be the best gifts for kids but gradually parents might regret having ever introduced them to the kids. However, the worldwide popularity of gaming has come up as the living proof how attractive it is for gamers across the globe. Gaming may have a number of baneful influences, but its positives cannot be ignored too because it brings great value for the human race as a whole. They are much more than mere toys, if you start counting the advantages of gaming.
Here are some positive aspects of gaming:
1. As people get into gaming, they learn a lot about the use of IT, such as downloading files, taking screen shots, uploading information and also sharing it with others. They come in touch with other gamers around the world and share knowledge and experiences with them, thus learning more and having fun.
2. Gaming enables people develop their skills and ability to make optimal use of gaming resources. They learn to manage resources and make the right use of equipment, develop theories and models and also design strategies, all of which is done while paying games.
3. When people play games,
The obvious answer is no, you shouldn’t, but at the same time it does raise questions about what we are doing as a society and what we are missing out on. Instead of going and achieving dreams and accomplishing goals we are sitting in front of a YouTube screen watching others enjoy themselves. A good example of this is a YouTube star that goes by the name of PewDiePie. PewDiePie is famous for his videos where he will play video games and make comments about them.
Sounds like a fun little hobby, but for him it is a full-time job where he raked in over $7 million dollars in 2014 himself and at one point was purchased by Disney. Now what does that say about a society when instead of playing video games we now watch other people have fun playing them. It is odd that we have the need to watch someone accomplish their goals or dreams and never actually accomplish any of ours. Another good example is how important celebrity gossip has become in our society (An easy pun on this article). Of course you must have heard of the Kardashians, or maybe a hundred
1.) Resource Allocation
Video Game Example: Resident Evil
Resident Evil, especially the first three of the series, taught me that sometimes it’s best to avoid a situation where it could cost you everything in order to reserve what little ammunition you have. I remember getting close to the end of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis with absolutely zero ammunition and already injured. As soon as I would try to run for it, I’d die. Being the derpy 12-year-old I was, I of course didn’t have multiple save points so had to restart… the entire game. I learned quickly to only use what I desperately needed and to save the rest.
Being an, ahem, financially strapped college student, I use this same principle when it comes to money. If I only have a limited cash flow, I know to only use that money in times of urgent need and in order of importance. The priority, especially as an upperclassman, went a little something like: Beer, Coffee, Bills, School-related purchases, and lastly food.
Okay, so maybe that lesson wasn’t quite as well-learned.
2.) Problem Solving
Video Game Example: Lemmings
I vividly recall playing this
